COWD CELEBRATES WORLD WATER DAY 2022

As the world celebrates WORLD WATER DAY every 22nd day of March each year, COWD being a water service provider did not let this day pass without making its concessionaires aware of the significance of water. This year's theme "Groundwater" Making the Invisible Visible! is very aptly phrased in highlighting the importance of groundwater considerably because groundwater is one amongst COWD's main sources. As United Nations simply puts it, out of sight, under our feet, ground water is a hidden treasure that enriches our lives. Our drinking water, our sanitation, our food supply and natural environments all these rely on groundwater.As the world celebrates WORLD WATER DAY every 22nd day of March each year, COWD being a water service provider did not let this day pass without making its concessionaires aware of the significance of water. In consonance with the 2022 UN-Water theme, COWD's Public Relations and Information Division conducted an awareness campaign by giving away tri-fold write-up materials containing basic information relative to groundwater. The tri-fold brochure contains the importance of groundwater, its impact on our lives, how climate change and other issues like pollution and contamination affects our groundwater and how each of us can work together to sustainably manage this invisible resource. In addition, plush souvenir key chains were being given away to the first one hundred paying customers in COWD Admin. Building while first fifties in the sub-offices in Tin-ao and Kauswagan. Said key chains feature COWD?s mascot with a short message pertaining to one of COWD's main goal for 2022: Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction. Info-graphic materials such as posters and tarpaulins were also being displayed in all of COWD's offices while a short pep talk was held at the main office with attentive paying customers listening on.
