REALIGNING PIPELINES TO MAKE WAY FOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS
REALIGNING PIPELINES TO MAKE WAY FOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS Posted:November 13, 2023 Public Relations
Many of us know all too well the horrors of flooding. Our city has been besieged by floods many times before. We’ve seen the city government step up their efforts to control future floods as we have surely noticed tall dikes rise by the riverside and drainage improvement projects wherever we turn.
COWD renders pipe realignments to get our supply line out of the way of these drainage projects. In this way, we can assist the city’s flood-proofing endeavor as well as keep bringing water to customers because, as the city’s premier water purveyor, we would like nothing more than to provide sustained water supply to the public.
The most recent realignment of a 150mm diameter pipe at Limketkai that caused a short water service interruption of about 6 hours is our 14th for this year. We thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we sometimes briefly shut off their water supply to quickly carry out realignment of pipes affected by these drainage projects that help create a flood-proof, thereby safer CDO.
