COWD’S NEW PRODUCTION WELL ENHANCES SUPPLY IN LUMBIA

The keenly awaited commissioning of COWD’s Production Well No. 33 in Lower Palalan, Lumbia transpired on August 25, 2023.

This new well with an operating pressure of 100–130 psi and a flow rate of 81 cu.m. per hour (357 GPM) shall serve the Lumbia area conjointly with bulk water supply from COBI.

For a duration of one month following the commissioning, a 24-hour monitoring team was given the task to perform some fine-tuning and adjustments for the well to attain peak performance.

Critical areas of Barangay Lumbia which includes Dulawon, Ecoville and Upper Palalan have seen a marked improvement of their water supply due to this new COWD facility.

One resident of Lumbia Ecoville was quoted as saying, “Okay na gyud ang tubig namo, 24/7 naay tin-aw nga tubig gagawas sa among gripo.”
