COWD JOINS THE NATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH CELEBRATION

The Cagayan de Oro City Water District has long been actively supporting women empowerment and gender equality (WEGE) in the work setting. Over the years, female employees have been given equal opportunities in all aspects as with the men. With a total of 152 female employees in a 675-strong workforce, these female employees hold vital roles in leading COWD to achieve its goals. As COWD once again joins the National Women's Month celebration this March, employees are enjoined to wear purple on Tuesdays to signify support for WEGE and a portion of COWD's Main office is festooned with decorations and infographics dedicated to women and the NWM celebration. On March 8, 2022, National Women's Day, 200 female customers took home some giveaways from COWD as tokens of appreciation and acknowledgment for women's achievements and contributions to the workplace, the family and society as a whole.
